Hi,
My 130 turbine will not spool up when outside temp is above 22° C.. Below it runs great, but otherwise it's trouble.. Spool up time is 3sec, throttle response set to "hard" . Any idea's??
thx, Didier

Didier,
I am not sure what you mean by "will not spool up." do you mean it starts to spool up but sputters and dies? Or do you mean the engine just shuts off.
If it is the first scenario, take the spool time up to six seconds and see if that fixes the problem, if so, begin lower the spool time from six seconds back towards three, a half second at a time, until it doesn't run again. As Density Altitude increases, the amount of O2 per given area decreases and the engine can not spool as fast. We can not run a three second spool up time here in Las Vegas in the summer. I think my personal engine is set to 5 or 6.
If it is the second scenario, it may be a failing fuel pump.
Give it a try and let me know.

It's the first, it spools up and starts to sputter, hasn't died yet.. I will give it a try, if outside temp is over 23°c, which is not really the case for the moment, worst summer ever...
Wow, you have it set to 5sec?? isn't that a bit long? if that's the only cure i'm a bit dissapointed in the quality of the turbine..
Do you have your throttle respose set to "hard" also? I like it to respond quick in the lower rpm's, nice for landings..
thx for the swift reply, i send about the same e mail to the manufacturer which is about 1 1/2 h drive from here, but no response yet.. Will see them at jet power next month..

Didier,
All turbines are affected with the temperature, altitude, humidity, etc. The evoJet allows you to fine tune your engine to run at optimum performance no matter what the weather. I really doubt you will even notice that much of a difference. As far as a response from the factory, they were out on vacation this week and will be back in the office next week.
Hopefully we have found your solution. Good luck and have fun!

My Feedback: (27)
On my 180VX the settings are 4 seconds and soft...Robbie set it up for me that way. I have been flying in 35C+ temps and it is perfect.
I flew a 160VX earlier this year with the same settings in the same temps and had the same outcome.
