Yes the receiver has battery power, and the receiver is picking up signal from the transmitter because the LED light goes solid once they are both turned on. what sort of connections am i looking at that could be the problem?

Make sure the servos are connected to the reciever. If that dosent work than you probably need new servos.

yea that is common on some trucks, factory servos arent always the best. just go grab some standard futaba servos. they work just fine and dont cost alot.

sorry to bother you again,
How much or should there be any unburned fuel coming out of the exhaust pipe?

Its alright, Are you breaking it in? If so then yes there will be quite a bit, after break in there will still be some coming out of the exhaust, if you have a good tune it some will come out but not a whole lot.

both, first high speed then low speed. alway make sure that you have a good blue smoke coming out of the pipe.
