Ok, I just got the exceed mutant truggy last week and I have been trying and trying to get it running but I am not having any luck. I can get it to start and run about 10 seconds at the most and it dies out. I have to prime the carb with fuel just about every time that I can get it to start. I can see the fuel in the line and the air bubbles disappear after I get it to run so its not clogged up. I am using trinity break-in fuel right now. I have messed with the high and low screws quite a bit tryin to get them adjusted and I have set them to factory settings and its set right now to where I have had it running the longest which is about 3 turns out from closed. I'm getting frustrated b/c I have had it all this time and haven't even got to drive it yet so if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have the exceed buggy with the .18c motor, you should have the same motor, I just checked my screw settings and the top long screw which is the high idle screw is 4 and a half turns out, and the low speed needle the small one is 3 and a half turns out, try that and see if it works.
Remember, you have to break in the motor right or you will blow the motor, don't give it full throttle till you have gone threw 5 tanks of gas.
Go by this to break it in. http://www.redcatracing.com/quickstart.pdf

does the small black screw in front of the carb control that idle or do you just use the trim on the remote? Also do you have to prime yours by putting fuel in the carb to get it to crank every time?

The small screw in the front is how you set your idle, and if there is no fuel in the line you do prime it.
It will take a few cranks before it starts, because its cold.

Yea, i bought the same truggy and it was little frustrating gettig it to run right. Mine is 4 turns out on the high and 3 turns out on the low. I also have the tim knob on the remote set at about half way. But now i am waiting on new parts to fix it since i got a little carried away
