Modified Whiplash
Well, I'm not sure if it's the first, but it's the first I have heard of. This creation started off as an idea to cut the fins and stick them on the wingtips. Well I did that and was not sure how or even if it would fly.
First flight- It flew and flew pretty good until I opened it up. It rolled left and dove into the ground. I will say, the controll surface are less effective and not "twitchy" with the center fins of. Apparently the fins direct a lot of airflow directly over the surfaces, making them very effective.

RE: Modified Whiplash
Second go around- She is all repaired and an extra set of fins added. Now she flies like a Whilash. Launches are exactly like my old Whip (RIP) and flying characteristcs are similar. I'm not sure the winglets do anything but add a different look. I had to try it and glad I did.
Here she is in all her glory or NOT!
