Default Lanier Phantom first flight

I now have five flights on the f-4. Since this is my first speed plane all I can say is SWEEEEEET!!!. I have a OS50sx running an APC 10x8 prop, may try a 9x9? Went with Twin aileron servos S3010 all the way around with 6-volt system. Modified the steering linkage to fit within the cowl. Moved CG forward 1" to 5 3/4". I'm thinking about moving forward more to try and get to land more jet like with the nose up but i'm not sure thats a good idea? Installed Whistles to get that turbine sound everyone at the field has commented on how awesome they sound! Added 1/8" ply and 8-32 blind nuts behind the tail cones to make it easy to add or remove weight for quick CG adjustments.

The landing gear wire is to small, would bend on gentle landings so i'm going with 5/32" wire and robostruts all the way around. Fuselage is very weak just below the vertical stab, after two gentle landings the fin sheared away from the fiberglass leaving a 2" crack in the fuselage. I will of course be reinforcing that area with more fiberglass unless someone has any other options since I have never worked with that stuff.

Next project? well I sort of went nuts a few months back so here is what I have in the waiting

Patriot W/ JETT 50
Shoestring W/OS91
Delta Vortex / bruce thorpe engineering
Top Flite .60 Corsair kit W/rcv 90
AK models SU-27

Not sure which one to start with. Need help on this descion!!!

Patriot/Jett-50

I have had both the Patriot (3) and the Lanier F-4 (YS-45) and the Patriot makes the F-4 look like a trainer that flies like a pair of pliers- trust me

From a stricktly "looks" point of view (but this is very personal of course)... I'd go with the AKM Sukhoi... with a nice shiny JETT 90L in the nose...
I just love that lifting body look...

I did a little editing to the big Patriot.........

I think this looks a bit better. I will have to see how hard/easy it will be to modify the kit a little.

What do yall think? two place phantom cocpit...... anhedral stab... sorta looks like an EU-1A huh?

Looks good Bob, when can I come pick mine up?

I think the SU-27 would be a great project. There have been a couple here, just recently completed...do a search.

....or the Patriot (there, ya happy Razor? ) BTW Razor, why would you recommend that one....huh? Do you like them, or something? [sm=confused.gif]

I like 'em a little... Someday when I get the hang of this flyin' thing I will get one uh them GMS powered Pink-Panty planes-- Until then however, I will just have to squeak slowly by with my Patriots and Whiplash

I am already gettin' the ARF together... Retracts will take some work but that is why I have 2-
