speed calculation
I guess I should have paid more attention in school back than. I have DD with jett 50 turning a 8.75 X 8.75. Timed a course of approx 1 mile in 22 seconds. My best calculation is about 140mph that sound about right.

RE: speed calculation
If your time and distance is correct you were traveling an average of 163.63 mph over your course. My Dust with a Jett 50 had a best time of one half mile in 10 seconds (straight line) for 180 mph. I used a video flying over a two marks and other methods. There is some room for error because of parallax and other things as your speed and mine seem a little high but who knows for sure.
If you divide your mile, 5280' by 22 sec, you get a distance per sec and an easy way to calculate speed.

RE: speed calculation
Well, I came out to 163mph if that'll make yo feel better
5280 div by 22 sec = 240ft per sec
240 x 60 x 60 =864000
864000 div by 5280 =163mph
----------------------------------------------
Typical run way something like this
700ft div 5 sec = 140ft per sec
140x60x60 =504000
504000 div by 5280 = 95mph
5280 div by 22 sec = 240ft per sec
240 x 60 x 60 =864000
864000 div by 5280 =163mph
