Mini Delta 2000 - almost complete
Well , after a lot of searching, and international phone calls i managed to get my hands on this beaut
it set a speed record of 180+ MPH in Great Britian, and was clocked at 234MPH during test runs
i built this kit and its almost ready to go
just got the 2 elevons to cover and 2 fins , and want to add trim to the wing
here is what it looks like so far and the trim i want to add, just cant decide which trim for now
if all goes well, test flight will happen on Saturday

I have to again say that is IMPRESSIVE! I remember seeing the original post/thread and fell in love with that airplane. I have however become the owner of a Angel made Rifle in Blue Angel's colors as well as an Oakdale Phenom, which I will also do up in B/A colors.

DOWN BOYS DOWN
i am not sure about a video, but i will try and get one for the day of the test flight
regarding engine - it is a tuned engine by Dub for high rev Jett 50 - he sent me the props as well as tuned the engine - rpm close to 22000 from what i remember , but will let you know
i am using a cut down 8.8 x 9.0 apc prop
obviously it has vertical fins - i wrote in the original posts that i have to cover them still
regarding the cg, it looks like it is pretty close on, the battery is right at the back of the wing , and the servos ( hard to see, are set inside the wings )
the feul tank is on the CG , and i was advised i might need a perry pump to get the flow from the wing to the carb
the only thing i am now trying to find a solution for ( without breaking the nice curves ) is a place to fit the remote needle valve - i am open for suggestions

bad weather , postponed the test flight to next week
heres a pic before the fins were added
wing span is 37 "
profile is at its highest less than 1 "
the diamond dust is 1,5" at its highest point
total weight ready to fly is 1,5kg ( which is aprox 3 pounds)

yes - test flight was uneventful, everything went smoothly , and she flys like she is on rails
much better than a DD , and she is sooooooooooo smoooooth
only problem was landing, in a grass filed that has sprinklers all over it
3rd flight I managed to land her safley , bus she kept on sliding on the grass till she hit a pipe
had to repair the bottom of the fuselage , and this time , decided to add carbon to protect the bottom
just have to recover
she is extremely fast, and i have not finished running in the engine, so i imagine once engine is leaned out to full 2 stoke, she will be a monster
will get a video here maybe next week
thanks
