Well, I am finally done. Untill I got to feild and am told I need to fix stuff
I seem to have gotten one of my alerions on at a slant. One side is high, and one is low... grrr. Hopefully it will be ok. I'll find out when I bring it to field. And the differatinal still seems to be to much. but again, I'll see about that at the feild
Lol. Other then that, all seems pretty good. Got he switch and charger mount installed today, and tweaked the alerions a little. tomroow I'm gonna run up the engine and tune it, and adjust the throttle servo, then hopefully I'll be able to run it out to the field and someone will be there. I'll get some pics up maybe tomorow.

Lol, sorry Mode_one. Sometimes I muck up a message with cut and pastes from the mouse. I fixed the worst of it. Still some bad spelling, but hey, I'm a programmer
Ok ok, old stereotype but it fits for me. And I've had a few celebritory drinks for the model being done

The second one is the problem. *sigh*. I was hoping it wouldn't be a case of having to rip the ailerons off. It's not too bad of a twist. Is there anything I can try before having to rip it off and redo?
THanks

And how much twist does it have? With the inboard end where you want it to be, where is the outboard end?
Pictures? Looking down the aileron from the tip and another from the rear.

First, make sure its really a warped aileron and not a warped wing. Sight down the trailing edge of the aileron. Is there a visible curve to the trailing edge? If so, the aileron is warped. If not, then you may have introduced a warp into the wing while covering.
You can try working the warp out of the aileron by removing the covering, soaking the aileron with water, and then clamping it to a work bench to hold it straight. When it dries (after a couple days) check it again. If you can find aileron stock at your LHS, its not that hard to cut and sand a new aileron. You may have to relocate hinge points, depending on what you have to do to remove the old aileron.
If its a wing warp introduced during covering, you can try shrinking the covering on one side or the other with a heat gun to try to remove the warp. If that doesn't work, you can remove the covering and try again with new material.
I highly recommend you find someone with more experience to help you evaluate the problem, and work out a solution.
Good luck.

To be honest, since this is a trainer type plane the flight may not be effected that badly, depending on the severity of the twist. The plane may roll one direction faster than the other and you will definitely need to adjust the aileron position slightly too. If not bent too badly I doubt it will cause a crash but once again have an experienced pilot fly and trim it before you try to. Be sure you point out the defect so he will know what MIGHT happen.
Again - how much twist does it have???
Naturally the best solution is to fix it BUT that may not be needed

Thanks everyone. I took it down to the field today. Caught one guy on his way out, and he took a look at it and said it shouldn't be a problem. Told me to just get it center'd near the tip and let the inboard side be off. I went back later and caught a guy out there. He checked it out and took it up for me. Trimmed it out and held the transmitter and let me fly with the right stick. He was relativly new of a pilot. Been flying for 6 months, so he didn't feel confident to actually hand the transmitter back and forth. It's been maiden'd now though
Yay. Seem'd to fly ok. Here are some pics. If anyone still wants me to get a shot of the aileron let me know and I'll take one.

Thanks both of u. Ya, it's quite neat to see it take to the air. I think I want more throws though. I'm use to having to make less movement on the sticks to command a change from aerofly. Or maybe decrease the differantial on the ailerons. I THINK that would increase there athority to roll the plane. Is that right? I won't be doing that though till I'm at the field with someone.

oh, hehe. U can see the guy who took it up in the second photo way off in the background. Yes, we do have to walk that far to get to the road. Lol.

You may get more roll authority without the differential but you will also get more adverse yaw. Just increasing the throw when you are ready may be the best bet. Hard to tell without being there. Ask one of the local instructors for an opinion.
Congrats on the maiden - go fly now.

Got my first stick time today
Just got back. One of the club instructors was there and he took me up. Got about 20 minutes of flight time. Handed back transmitter twice in first few minutes while I got use to the handling, ande els once cause I got the plane into the pesky plane hiding sun. After that I had it till deadsticked it, then he brought her down. Hehe, I might head back out there in a few to see if anyone might show up after work. Must---fly---plane
