Need CG/throws for a Royal Bearcat

I bought this used Bearcat as my first warbird, 62" ws with an aluminum cowl - I think ait's an old Roayl kit. I'm not sure if it's ever been flow and have two questions.
Where is the CG?
There is only about 5/8" down on the eleveator before it hits the pushrod for the rudder - is 5/8" enough - -see pics

Beginning CG is 4.25 inches at the root.
I don't remember what my throws are and my plane isn't here to measure.
Only reason I know the CG is because I asked that same question a few years back.
I ran into the same interference problem when building mine so I used a torque rod setup to move the pushrod connection out of the way. I know you can't do that since the plane is built but thought I would throw it out there.

I would fly it. If you think about it you hardly use full throws unless you are doing aerobatics. If you have a computer radio I would dial in 1" on the up end and whatever you can get on down.
After your first flight you can decide if you want to leave it as is or do a teardown in the back and move things around to get more travel.
BTW: Here's mine when I was still finishing it up. I don't have a recent pic.

very nice plane. If I don't crash mine this summer learning how to fly a warbird, I'll probably strip the monocoat off and fiberglass and paint over the winter.
