A few times I have responded to queries about Hitec programming issues and other howtos with a link to Down On The Deck. Each time this link has been nulled out with '***'. Why?
I have read your policies. Do you really consider his site to be a viable competitor to RC Universe? Frankly, I check out his site every once in a while but I certainly wouldn't consider it an alternativet to RC Universe. His site is also not what I would consider as a commercial site. He provides a unique service with his home-made videos. Did he do something in the past that made him persona-non-grata with RC Universe?

Jim,
we had a falling out in the past. I'm willing to bury the hatchet and put it behind us. However please post only relevant links to specific points of interest to that site or any. We allow outside linking when the resource is useful and answers a members questions. We don't allow generic "go to this website for your answer" or "check out xyz.com". Only specific links to resources which directly address the question and provide answers and solutions.
I am not saying you did not follow this but just pointing out the rule we have which is there to avoid the "web spammers".
I will remove the censor filter now as RCU enters its phase this week towards what I call the friendlier rcu.

By the way...joe made a statement that I was a vicious liar or something and told the story about a deal that went bad for him that I tried to help fix for him and bill pryor. Joe was actually a moderator here at rcu in the beginning. One thing he failed to mention is that I had bill agree to refund the entire purchase price as the final resolution to the bad deal. Joe refused this offer. For that he says I tried to rake him over the coals or something. Anyway bill pryor and several of joe's old club members can verify who's story is the real story. In that deal I had no problems or issues with either party so had no reason to favor either. Only after the deal did Joe go off on me for some reason after I spent my personal time & hours on the phone with him and bill to try and just get them both happy.
Anyway this was a long time ago, water under the bridge now. I did want those who came late into this to know my side of the story which again can be verified.

Understand. I have no problem with your reasoning.
BTW, I generally only provide direct links to pertinent content; can't remember if I ever sent a general link. E.G I recently tried to provide a response to a question about balancing a prop. Joe Hunt has an excellant video that describes this process in detail. My link was to the website index that include that video.
