Somehow I have managed to activate something here on RCU that alerts my e-mail each time someone ads a new post to the ARF and RTF forum and the Gas Engines forum. I would like to know how to shut it off so I don't have 47 e-mail alerts every time I go on-line.

Go to settings tab on the top right >>>^^^ and then forum settings and Thread Subscriptions/MyForums

you should see all the threads,forums with check marks and notifications.

Thanks....................I think............I found the setting tab at the top right, and I found some boxes with check marks that you could change, and I changed some of the checks, but I didn't see anywhere you could turn off the e-mail notifications.......you can just change it to something like "new subject". So, I'll see if anything changes, but still don't think I've accomplished what I wanted.........time will tell.

Also on the "home page" for each forum there is a place where you can subscribe/unsubscribe to emails for ALL threads in THAT forum. I suspect you subscribed there at one point, perhaps by accident. Go to those forum home pages and "unsubscribe" if needed.

At the top of the page click MY ACCOUNT > FORUM SETTINGS tab > scroll down to "Subscription Preference" and change them to what best suits you in general

Next scroll back up this same page and look at the links just below the blue tabs (general settings, forum settings, market settings) and find the link that says "Thread Subscriptions/MyForums". Click that link and uncheck all "Email Notify" that are selected.
