I fly at a small field out in the country there are only a few members so FM is no big deal. But there is a cell tower on the property dose it pose any risk to the signal? is 2.4 any better?

The frequencies used on Cell Towers should not interfere with your RC equipment as the FCC keeps them separated as much as possible.
