My ignition optical kill switch requires to be connected to the receiver to operate. I have channels 5 &amp; 6 free on the R617FS and using 8FG transmitter. By connecting the kill switch to either channel, how do I activate/deactivate the kill switch? It should be an on/off function but the 8FG manual doesn't seem to cover this procedure.</p>

You use a switch to control the desired channel. One position of the switch puts the channel at one extreme, and the other position of the switch puts the channel at the other extreme. One position should turn the device on and one position should turn it off. You may need to extend the "travel" endpoints in the Function section of the Linkage Menu to get the device to work properly.
