Is it possible to get a newer radio on mode 2 as i'm an old fart. Or do they come with software to allow you to do it yourself like my T10CHP thanks

Not sure what you are asking. All current Futaba radios are sold as Mode 2 radios. If a person wants Mode 1 they will swap it over for free prior to shipping. But if you want Mode 2, worry not, they are ALL Mode 2

I sort of thought that is what you meant!! At any rate, the easiest thing to do is to request that it be swapped to Mode 1 prior to shipping. They do it for free and recalibrate everything. Depending on the radio you can do it yourself, but if they'll do it for free in the service center, why not let them do it?
