FUT 18MZ Antenna repair
I just noticed that the plastic that my antenna snaps into is broken at the base. Hence the antenna is loose.
Can I repair this myself or do I need to send the Tx to the service center?
One comment. Since Futaba recommends that the Antenna point either left or right for the best transmission why have the antenna move at all? Why not just build one that's more robust and stationary?
Thank you

What is broken is the plastic piece that the antenna is secured to. Its the "stub" that protrudes upwards from the top of the case. The plastic Stem of the antenna is attached to that.. The actual antenna is a piece of wire that is inside the Plastic Stem.
I found a replacement antenna on line. It's a relatively cheap part. Shouldn't be much to replace it.
A better more robust design is what I'd encourage Futaba to produce in their future models.
