Default Speed Control starts to run in reverse

HELP!!!
I have a Futaba T9CHP transmitter and I am using a Futaba R149DP receiver. Both are 75Mhz (FM). They are being used in an R/C submarine. My problem is this. The motors go to reverse with out moving the transmitter stick. The stick is in neutral and the only way to stop this is to move the stick to reverse then forward then neutral. The speed control I am using is a Mtroniks Viper Sub 15. I have contacted Futaba in the past and they tell me it is the speed control causing the problem. However I have other subs with the same speed control and I have no problems. Could the problem be with the transmitter or the receiver?? Any help and suggestions will be very helpful
Thank you

You can try reversing the throttle channel in the servo reverse menu. If that does not work then it appears to be an issue with the ESC itself.
