Default Robbe/Futaba F1712 Vario and 18sz

Evening all hope somebody can help me with the setting of the Robbe/Futaba F1712 vario. I have got the vario working and I am very pleased with it
I am struggling where to set the deadband on my 18sz transmitter. My fellow flyer has the same vario and he can set the deadband but his is a 18mz transmitter

Does the 18sz not support the deadband setting of a vario ???

Thanks Chris

Sorry, I don't know anything about that device. There is a user Modtron who may chime in. He is U.K. based as well.

In the old Robbe instructions, it shows the 4 modes that are available for the 18MZ - but when this came out the 18SZ did not exist and Robbe are now also gone.

Your only option now, would be to look at the newer sensors that Futaba now support.

Thanks for the reply, I think I have found where to set the offset and deadband now. I have the robbe vario and my friend with the 18mz has got futaba sb-02 ?? vario.

Do you know what all the settings equate to ??? of have experience of previous settings ??? we have spent quite a few hours messing and flying with different settings but still are struggling to get a different tone for sink, climb we thing we have sorted but even diving the glider gives us the same tone as climbing. The Futaba manual is not that good in explaining what the various options for range etc; are for

Thanks Chris

The manual for the 18SZ and 32MZ cover theses settings, but strangely, not in the 18MZ ?

From what I can see, the deadband sets the range (high & low) for the sensor range.
