I'm using a 9ZAP WC1 on a plane with four aileron servos. I am using the ADF mix, not flaperon. I have used two linear PMX to slave the 3rd and 4th aileron servos off of the two that are run by the ADF mix. In other words, ADF uses AIL and AUX1 for the two aileron channels. I have mixed AIL->FLP and AUX1->AUX2. I have the mixes set with trim enable and the PMX are linked such that my other mixes will effect all four servos.
My issue is that the aileron trim only seems to effect servos on CH AIL,FLP and AUX1. The servo on AUX2 is not effected by trim. This stumps me becasue the trim is working on the FLP ch which is a slave of the AIL channel on my PMX mix. Then why won't the AUX2 channel see the trim? It works just fine otherwise, it is just the trim that dosen't work. I have trim enabled in the mix.
In addition, I have set up the same plane by using the Flaperon mix and used two PMX mixes in a similar fashion. PMX was AIL->AUX1 and FLP->AUX2 and the trim worked on all four servos.
What am I missing? Thanks.

MB,
No idea what you're missing, but simply do the mix of ail to aux2 and that will decrease the # of mixes you're asking the commands to go through, speed up the commands to that servo, and probably solve your problem to boot.

That might fix the trim issue, but then I don't have control over aileron differential. If I try to put in any aileron diff, the wing with the AUX1/AUX2 servos will have an issue because the AUX2 servo will be getting its differential info from the wrong master. It needs its info from AUX1 not AIL. I do however thank you for the suggestion.
Is it possible to corrupt a model setup? That is one thought I had. I haven't tried a similar setup on another model memory.
Is there a better way to set up four aileron servos? I really dislike Y-Harnesses, but I suppose I could use them. Does futaba make a item similar to the JR matchbox. I could use the matchboxes but don't like the idea of having to buy two of them just to run my servos.
That brings me to another question. By my using 4 ch for aileron servos, am I creating an issue with position updates not being matched. Are the servo positions for AUX1 and AUX2 transmitted as often as sat the AIL positions, are mixes delayed a bit, etc? What I'm getting at is it possible for the slave servos commanded positions to lag behind the masters? If so, is it significant enough to worry about? As best I can tell, there is no lag that I can see with the naked eye.
Thanks.

Monkey,
You are correct about differential.
Yes, futaba offers a synchronizer which will be in stock next month that works exactly like the matchbox and is a superb choice, including allowing you to create differential for the servos right there by decreasing the down travel (equivalent to ATV) on those servos....which you could do with the setup i recommended above also using the 9Z's ATVs?
The refresh rate on all channels are the same on 9z, unlike the 10X where 2 channels refresh only half as often. However, ALL Radios have a lag between commands to servos 1-4 vs 5... This is FAR more noticable when using digital servos than analogs.
The WC2 has an accelerated frame rate that, when using digital servos, makes this difference all but invisible even with the fastest digitals.

Thanks for you help AM and the info on frames.
Think I will probably need to use a matchbox or similar. I think the 9Z is simple to program but I have so many mixes going with this plane even I get a bit lost. A servo sync device will solve several problems for me... I just wanted to exhaust the radio programming solutions first. What name will the Futaba Sync device have? Any info now? I couldn't find anything on the futabarc web site. Towerhobbies will carry? Price? Thanks.
