Default S3004 Throws

I'm trying to max out the throws on my S3004 servos for 3D flying and am running into problems. I'm using a 9CAP radio. With my D/R settings at 100, and my endpoint settings at 100, I'm only getting about 20 degrees of travel in both directions on high rates. I know I'm probably missing something simple, but I can't figure it out.

How many degrees of travel should the S3004 servos have at maximum deflection, and what do I have to change in my radio settings to get that amount of travel? Should I keep increasing my endpoint settings?

Thanks for your advice,

Vince

Default RE: S3004 Throws

Hi Vince,

Your servo will see an average of 60 degrees of movement as is normal with most all servos. This is 60 degrees total movement. 30 degrees each way from center.

To realize more throw, you will want to use the longest servo arms that you can, and position the control surface as far out on the arm as possible.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Sincerely,
