I have several small electric helis and planes all of them seem to work fine on my 8u but not on my 9zawcII none of them are Futaba they are cirrus, expert or the proprietary blade all are ppm and single conversion
I have tried different channels
The servos jump when the radio is first turned on and that is it

Some non-Futaba receivers will not operate with the Futaba 9Z transmitter when the 9Z synthesized module is used. Those receivers don't have a problem with the fixed-frequency modules.
The 9C synthesized module you're using in your 8U transmitter has a slightly-different coding that those non-Futaba receivers can accept.
Futaba does guarantee that all Futaba receivers will respond to Futaba transmitters as long as the frequency and coding are correct.

Just what is the difference in the radio signal produced by a fixed-frequency module and the synthesized module in the 9Z? I was under the impression that the PPM/PCM signal was produced by the electronics in the controller, and the module was just used to transmit it. Does the synthesized module use a different deviation, or otherwise alter the transmitted waveform?
