Default High Band - Low Band Question

I just purchased a Futaba Flight Pack from my local hobby shop, and I wanted to use it with a Channel 28 crystal. The dealer ordered a FUTL0136 Pack and I picked it up last week. This morning I noticed that the box, and a sticker on the receiver, state that the Flight Pack is for High Band Use. I called the hobby shop and was told that Futaba has discontinued the Low Band version of the R127DF receiver, and that the receiver in the flight pack will operate on ANY channel. This seems to conflict with information on Futaba's web site. Will the receiver in my Flight Pack, labeled "High Band Use", work on Channel 28?

Thanks for the info.

Default RE: High Band - Low Band Question

Hi Corsair-Fan,

Since the R127DF was replaced with the R168DF, the R127DF was never "center tuned" and sold in a flight pack that way, only as high or low.

It is not recommended to use a low band crystal in a High band receiver.

The receiver would need to be retuned to a low band so that you can use the channel 28 crystal.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
