Flaps and trainer box
I have a 6exas radio. My plane has flaps on ch6 operated by the dial. When we plug in a 4ch skysport as a buddy box and hit the trainer switch on the 6exas, the flaps go down. We have to unplug the flap servo to fly with the buddy box. How can we fix this.

RE: Flaps and trainer box
Hi bubbap51,
Unfortunatley, your 6EXAS, while a computer radio, does not offer the mixing type trainer function It simply does not have the programming required for it to act as a true master where the student radio performs solely as a 'joystick' for the master radio, keeping the master's mode settings, dual rates, trims, mixes, etc.
Unplugging your servo is one way to eliminate this problem, or purchasing another radio which has the same capabilities or more over the 6EXAS.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
