Default Transmitter diode

Can I by pass the transmitter diode in my Tx, I have replaced the battery with a larger capacity and the diode prevents me from charging at a suitable rate?

Bypassing the protective diode in your transmitter is not recommended. A bad charger or charge lead could result in damage. Your best bet is to use a connector in the battery pack's lead so that you can connect it directly to the charger. The diode should be able to handle a normal overnight charge for most battery packs that would fit into the transmitter. Higher-rate charging is another story, and the battery pack should be charged outside of the transmitter as a matter of course in that case.

Thanks, but I was trying to avoid keep taking the battery out of the Tx as the cover catch is so weak on the ZAP it snaped off within the first week of using it, its now held closed with servo screws.

I already use a connector between the batter and that silly board that connects the Tx to the battery, is there any way I can get rid of the board and put a connector straight to the plug in modual this would give me more room to get the connector in.
