Hey all,

Someone asked me to buddy box them this weekend. This guy had a 9CHP setup for a Raptor.

In this case 9CHP was the Master and the 14mz was to be the Slave.

I created a new model in my 14mz, set it up to Student (Slave?), PPM and 8 channel. I removed the antenna and the module.

When we tested it out, the Mode seemed to change.

The right stick controlled Throttle/Pitch and Rudder.

The left stick controlled Aileron and Elevator.

I spent a total of 10 minutes doing this and decided not to bother when it was reversed.

Anybody have a clue as to why this happened?

I haven't tried the Trainer mode with the 14mz before.

And Yes, this is a US version (Purchased from Ricks).

The only thing I can think of was that the removal of the Module caused it to default to mode 1...

The default setup of the channels in the 14MZ is different from other transmitters. You have to make sure that you go into the function menu and set up the 14MZ transmitter to match the other one.
