Default 14 MZ Program Mix Question

On the 14 MZ Program Mix screen, next to the buttons where you select the Master and Slave, there are two blank boxes (or buttons). There is one to the left of the Master button and one to the right of the Slave button. If you push the blank boxes they change from blank to a "+" and if you push again it changes to "-."

The manual says that these perform a "link" function and the + or - selects the direction.

I don't understand what the link does. For example, I have two elevator servos mixed (one elevator servo is the Master and the second elevator servo is the Slave). I have the button to the left of the Master button with a "+" . However, when I have another mix that mixes the rudder as the Master and the elevator as the Slave, only one elevator servo is affected by the mix. It takes an additional mix to move the second elevator servo slaved to the rudder (I thought it would require only one rudder to elevator mix because the elevators are linked). If it merely changes the servo direction, why wouldn't you just change the direction in the Servo Reverse menu?

Can you give a more thorough explanation of what the + or - means and what hey actually do?

Thank you for your help!

Default RE: 14 MZ Program Mix Question

Hi storklappe,

The boxes on either sides of the master and slave icons, are for "linking in" ( left hand side ) or "linking out" ( right hand side ).

If you have a first mix with one elevator to a second elevator, and you are wanting to incoropate this mix with a second, you need to link this "out" to something else.....so you will press the box on the right hand side by the slave. This will bring up a + most likely, for now leave it as it is....

Now, if you are wanting the second mix ( Rudder to Elevator ) to accept functionality from a different mix, then you will need to "link in" the previous mix, so you need to press the icon on left hand side by the master channel. Again this will most likely bring up a +, if all servos are moving in the correct manner, you will not need to use this reverse to change them.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
