Hi Futaba
In the 12FG manual, it has a default wing setup for 2AIL + 2FLAP that dictate an 8ch RX.
ch1: ELE
ch2: Rud
ch3: Throttle
ch4: Aileron
ch5: Aileron 2
ch6: Gear
ch7: Flap
ch8: flap2
I have a 4 servo wing model as above but only with 7ch FASST RX. Since my model only does not uses Gear, can I use 7ch FASST RX and select 2AIL +1FLAP wing setup where the FLAP is now CH6. With CH7 empty, can I use Program Mixes to drive the Ch7 to be Flap2?
What would be the step and what are the problem or downside on such?
In my LHS, the 8ch RX is substantially more expensive from 7ch vs from 6 to 7ch which is minimal. And buying 8ch RX is also render ch6 useless in my case. Over here the 8ch RX is US50 more than 7ch RX.

If you set up the system as 2 ailerons and no flaps, then set up the flap channels on two unused channels. Just put flap and flap2 on the same switch or slider in the Function section of the Linkage Menu.

Let me give you a better explanation on what I want to accomplish. Im flying a glider with 4 servo wing (2 aileron and 2 for flap) with v tail on my Futaba 9CHP on 8 ch rx.
I don't use glider mode, just acro because I still want my throttle on ch3.
Moving to 12FG, I know the transmitter have a lot built in mixes which is great but its also render a specific RX and wasting the channel from 617 to 608.
The manual indicate for 2AIL + 1 FLAP setup, I can use 617 RX. Since I need to drive 2 FLAP servo for my CROW, I will plug my FLAP servo A into ch6 as per stock mixes and FLAP Servo B into Ch7 or AUX/Gear. I will then program the Airbrake and Crow as 2AIL + 1FLAP wing. Once done I will slave Ch7 to Ch6 with link so that Ch 7 will now follow exactly Ch6.
Does the above explain better?
