I use a 9 cap transmitter and recently bought a 16l CAMPAC.

A campac of 16K of memory seems to me it was ok 10 years ago, but now are availlable a lot of memory cards that are above 2G of memory.

Can the chip inside the campac be replaced with a bigger capacity or a memry card adapted?

Shame there isnt a large enough market to warrent someone making an SD or micro SD card slot that plugs into the campac socket. Then you could swap between the high end SD card Txs and the 10C, 9C Txs, etc.

It seems crazy having 64Kb campacs when 32, 128, 256Mb SD cards are so cheap and plentiful.

In fact many would have them sitting in their draw unused from a camera they bought.

A Micro SD card in an adapter would easily fit in the campac slot.

A 256k CAMPac will give you 64 models on a 10C which is far more than most folks will ever use. If you need the capability to have thousands of models get a Futaba radio that uses a Compact Flash card.

Here is the UltraPAC which is 512k. On a 10C this will give you 128 model memories. I had one when I had my 9Z.

Type "campac" in the search area, and you will then see the single package - 16 x 64k campac.

You have more than enough storage with this one !!

Futaba doesn't have a CamPac with larger memory. For most fliers, the regular CamPac has plenty of memory. We have no recommendation or information on changing the construction of the standard Futaba CamPac.
