I performed a range check on a new 6008 rx. I went twice as far as I get with the 6014 607 and 617 rx's and still had control. The radio was beeping in range check and I had to reset one time because the timer ran out. Is this rx better at recieving signals or should I look for a problem in the tx. Guess I should re-test another rx too.
Typicaly I get about 35 paces with the other rx's with the radio pointing away from me and shielded with my body. A bit more when the antena isn't obstructed.
Thanks, Arnold

Hi altavillan,
There are a lot of variables when doing a range check, and it sounds like you had the optimum conditions at the time.
It is always a good idea to do a few range checks, differnet days, different areas and different conditions, and then average these out as the best range for your equipment.
The R608FS range should be about the same as the other receivers you mentioned. It may not be a problem in the transmitter at all, just good conditions at the time. But it is of course best to do a series of range checks.
