I have got say, I am disappointed. I have 4 Sachs based engines, three 3.2. and a 4.2. One of them is a Fox, and to hear they have discontinued them is not good news, they did a nice job on the engine and it has run flawlessly, as have the others. Must be as long as Bill Jenkins has parts though, I'll probably never have need to replace them with the other brands. From what I have seen, they are as good or better than many in their class, and some bigger than their class.

The Fox site still lets you go all the way up to checkout with purchasing a 3.2 so they must still be able to put one together for you?

w8ye, I called them and they said the days of the Fox 3.2s are over for good. They highly recommended the DLE. Dan.

Tisoy, nice video and good looking Corsair. The 2.4 is a bit too small for my plane. I need the 3.2. Dan.

They still pop up now and then on Ebay. I have a saved search for Brison and they turn up occassionally. In fact I got a real nice one several years ago from Ebay with a Slimline pitts for a little over $200.00 and it runs strong!! I still have two mechanical 3.2s and have no plans on letting either of them go as they still run/perform great. The only problem I can see (if you want to keep the mechanical advance) is finding a replacement ignition should you need one. I've also seen a few of the single cylinder 5.8s (?) go for a song on Ebay, but I've been reluctant to bid on them as I'm a little afraid of the vibration factor with that big old single.

If you are building a heavy airframe aircraft, like a large warbird, they work perfectly. Today's light ARFs, with their minimalist glueing, can't handle the thump for very long.

What about a Taurus 3.2? http://www.taurus-engines.com/taurus_ts52.html

I have seen one run and it ran great. Started easily and had plenty of power for the 33% Spacewalker that it was on. I know, plenty of power on Spacewalker doesn't offer much in the way of performance comparisons.

That Taurus 3.2 is one pretty piece of workmanship. I may swap one of my Brisons for that!

Won't fit the same mounting hoels as the a Brison. Excellent engine though. As most of the Sachs based engines are.
