I seem to have forgotten the first rules of making a sales presentation. Design the presentation to address a fourth grade comprehension level. It's either that or my communication and writing skills have become extremely abstract.
The first rule of teaching is "They don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

The first rule of making a sales presentation is "Don't insult your customers" - although most sales trainers mistakenly assume that to be so obvious that they neglect to formally state it.

And the first rule of communication is "Communication ends when either party becomes emotional enough to quit listening objectively."

Your writing skills are top-notch, as you have repeatedly clearly communicated your disgust with those who lack your experience, hold differing points of view, or ask questions that have been answered in the past. If you were actually a saleperson, you'd soon be unemployed - the Army Drill Sergeant with anger management issues routine only works for salespeople in the movies.

I find it quite sad, really, that your exceptional knowledge and experience is so poorly delivered to those who could truly benefit from it. If you were to pick the top six or so topics that keep being repeated and write a tutorial on each one, then either save them on your computer or have the moderator pin them up with a sticky, you could reply without all the venom. You could be a Wise Old Man instead of a tired one, and be much more effective in sharing that knowledge and experience. Of course, it's your choice.

.....................I lost my funtana 125 on this weekend because DLE-20 die at take-off, at middle power..............
Well, improperly tuned will get ya that no matter what brand your bought.
Crashing is operator error, not anything to blame on the engine.

PM me and I'll make an offer for the DLE20.

All the stickys in the world will not help if they're not read...PERIOD..It's far easier to just ask the same question that's been answered 500 or more times already.

Probably correct, so go with files on your computer - then give them the same answer 500 times or more.

Nope. No reason me or anyone else should do their research work for them. If they can't type a question into a search engine, tuff che che.

Reality is, exactly what they want is to have everything handed to them. Saves them doing any of the work.

The problem with using a search engine is that they get all these results that tell them what idiots they are for asking the question in the first place....

Have to go with T.O.M. on this one. As a former English teacher I can truly say that dictionaries were invented for a reason.....

The condenscending attitudes is what makes people bitter. You old farts ought to know better. I mean come on. You too were oncea newb. Yeah you didnt have internet back in "your" day. But it is here now.

It don't cost you a dime to be polite. And even helping someone out with a link instead of retyping a response is effortless. I do agree that some ought to know how to search for what they are looking for. However if it bothers you guys so much that a newb asks a question then by all means feel free to not respond at all. That would be so much better than all the piss and vinegar that is spewed by some of you.

As for me I don't mind helping out my fellow modeler.

...Some of you ever stop to think that maybe one's Google-Fu doesn't quite work? There's been countless times mine has failed me for whatever reason, and being that my other hobby is PC gaming I spend a lot of time googling things. If my Google-Fu fails me at times, it's bound to fail newbies even more.

My original point was that the premise of the thread was inaccurate. The OP had no other choice but to go cheap, as DLE is the only engine in this class. I would not consider that going cheap. Just buying what was available.
Nope - could have and will go Evolution 26cc.
I do not consider a 26cc the same as a 20cc. Especially the carb configuration. They are not the same class.

What's comical is that some folks - one guy in particular - spend more time typing a reply that rags on the question-asker and telling us how superior they are/he is to the great unwashed than the time it would take them/him to just point the question-asker in the right direction. Better yet, if the ignorant, lazy question-asker irks them/him so much, just spare us all and don't even reply. We get it: You are a genious and the question isn't worthy of your time and effort.

In reality, they/him are nothing but being a Mark 1 Mod 0 USDA Grade A Ruby Red arsehole.

You know, I respect the guy's knowledge, and have found his info helpful. He has a lot of experience that helps one avoid reinventing the wheel, so to speak.

At first I thought the causticness was just his schtick or something, and was humorous in the same way as a Don Rickles comedy routine. Then I realized that he was serious, and soon the tone and condescention grew old. It's no longer funny. Rather, it is tiring and offensive.

There are others just as knowledgeable and experienced, and their help and advice comes without the insults, arrogance, and putrid packaging.

There's 7 links on every page of these threads on RCU, for a search function of one form or another.
Not all are Google related, most are internal to RCU......and faster.

Btw; who started this ragging about searches on RCU?
Must be THE number one stir things up issue around!

Btw, I seen Don Rickles show last year, and at 84 years old, he's still as sharp witted as ever.
Sometimes he and Joan Rivers tour together in the East coast casino's at least. People actually
WANT to sit up front to see if he'll target them!

Kurt should change the heading of this tread. it took him realy long before looking at the engine and seeing the fault................................. laat my wonder "lets me wonder"

sometimes, when reading forums overseas, one gets the idea that there is people out there that only want to discredit certain products.

when you want something, you do research and then you buy it..................... right
but you could end up with the so called "dud" which could lead to expensive repairs.

well, thats life.

DLE engines are great in my opinion and what i have read about them.

the last aspect.
i will never buy a a arf, and fit a engine.
i'm done with that. cause anything could go wrong which again would lead to expensive repairs.

so for me, scratch building and ffitting dle 30 or 0.52 glow engines works out cheaper by far.

and should it go down, it goes down, without any hard feelings etc.

just build another one.

with enough power in the front, you can make anything fly.

i wonder how many engine failures are user induced?and i also wonder how many blame the engine for the failure?

I can't put a % figure on it but I'd bet most are user induced.
A good mechanic can usually tell what went wrong too.
