Rule of thumb that I have always been told is down one inch and pitch. So 24x10 2blade=23x8 3 blade.

There are variables in that equation, engine size/hp and brand of prop. These are not always the same.

Oh yeah of course there are variables. I just mean as a rule that is where I start at. The same size 2blade prop from different manufactors will turn different rpms. And as I have found out the highest rpms dont always translate to the best performance.

Most modelers dont understand this, but it seems like you've got the idea.

Actualy the rule of thumb is to go down one size in diameter and up one size in pitch ,
24x10 2 blade would be a 23 x11 or 23 x12 3 blade
There will not be and exact exchange because of the many blade and pitch variiations .
You will most likely need to retune the engine because of the load change. Dont worry about exact RPM's ,tune for the best performance.
