167 or 603 carbs should work quite well.

The WA-125 had a "24" cast in the venturi. The venturi is 3/8"

The WA-167 has a "28" cast in the venturi. The venturi is 7/16" This carb is used on the lattter G-23's

The Kalt would run better with a 24 carb but could possibly work with a 28?

I remember the McCulloch 28 and 32 weed whackers had a 3/8" carb in both Zama and Walbro.

I'm a total stranger and beginner on this board, forgive me if I make a mistake.
Your request for a WA 125 might be quite difficult to find. Take a look at a listing I have on Ebay
Item number: 220797516591

These are New Walbro WT 520, venturi 9.53mm same as a WA 125. From the parts book for WA 125, shows the following.
The mounting holes are the same.
The WA 125 may have a primmer bulb mounted on the top or bottom of the body of the carburetor. Or it may use a in-line primmer bulb mounted in the return line. The WT 520 does not have a primmer bulb either on the top or bottom, but a in-line primmer bulb can be used in the return line.

Next, is the hook up to the throttle shaft assembly. I assume the WA 125 uses a wire which is screwed into a small swivel assembly on the throttle shaft assembly. The WT 520 does not have the small swivel assembly, but the small swivel assembly can be removed from your WA 125 and mounted into WT 520. I understand you will need two carburetors, if you buy my carburetors I can always included the second small swivel assembly.

There are four images on the web site, take a look at them and see if this is your answer.

Good luck

thanks for the tips.
the 520 carb does not look like the 125. it mounts the same but they are different.
i have a 167 carb i'm going to try out. i also have a 644 but i think that might be too large.
i'm going see if the 167 and 125 give me similar rpms. as long as the two motors rev the same i guess it doesn't matter which has what carb. otherwise i'll get another 167 (which are still available) and then i should be happy.
