Just got done doing the break-in process on this sweet EME 55v2 engine. I mounted it to my test stand and installed the Valley View 22x10 prop. I used a Life 6.6v 1100mah battery on the igniton. I usde a dubro 8oz tank with 89 octane fuel using pennzoil for air cooled engine at 30 to 1. I closed the choke and flipped the prop and was not drawing fuel. I sprayed some fuel into the venture and flipped the prop and got a pop. I closed the choke again and after 5 more flips I got another pop. I opened the choke and after 3 flips is was running. I keep the engine running under 4000rpm for the first hour. I did four 15 minute runs and a 10 minute break between each run. The engine got easier to start after each run. On the 5th & 6th run I opened it up and this sweet engine hit 7100rpm with this 22x10 prop. I am really glad I purchased this engine.

EME55-II Gasoline Engine/Petrol Engine with Electric Starter
Ordered one from SDSHOBBY EME55 V2 with electric starter pre-mounted. Had for three weeks and finally got around to starting it. Make along story short, I would buy another one.
The only negative item I see at the present . The starter comes with a BRUSH motor. I have had many starters over the years on Zenoah motors that were made by FEMA a German company. The brushes would burn out after 20 or so starts. Always replace with a brushless motor and it would work great for many years. I have maybe twenty starts on this and it is still working. So maybe they have better brushes or the gearing is a better design, by not over amping and burning the brushes. I did notice the MDL 70cc twin they sell, comes with electric starter and it is, a brushless motor. For now,no problems and as I mentioned above, I would buy another one. Maybe the EME60cc next time ...IMHO
Note:The motor is for a warbird. Hence the electric starter. I rather add weight using a electric starter, then lead for the nose weight.
