Default Mounting the Saito FG20

I was told the FG 20 motor mount was reccommended because it aids in helping the engine run cool. Sort of like a heat sink. I have a really tight inline installation where the top corners of the motor mount would stick out of the cowl. Mounting the engine on old fashioned maple bearers would work but is it a good idea?
Grinding down the corners of the motor mount and drilling new bolt holes would work to but would be less than ideal. Any advise?

If your cowl is well baffled or simply allows adequate cooling air to circulate around the engine and the hot air has an ample sized exit area, I see no reason why your choice of engine mounts would not be suitable.

While running my FG-20 engines, I cannot see any significant increase in heat over my Saito 125 engines.
