Default DLE 30 Idle question...

I have a new DLE that I bought from VVRC (thanks Jody!) and I have a question: When I go to WOT (briefly of course ) and than back to idle, the engine seems to slow way down for a couple seconds (almost dying), than it catches and idles a bit high, than settles after several seconds. Is that normal or a lean or rich condition on the bottom end? My fear is flying the plane, going up for say a stall turn and backing off the throttle and she quits If I lean out the low end too much, the idle picks up to the point where the idle will not go down even with the throttle fully closed SO it's a happy medium.... Anyone else notice this? Overall though, the engine is running great!

Thanks I read all of that and it seems this should not be an issue on the 30 (but may be)....mine actually drops too low for a bit before recovering to a higher idle and than settling. I think my issue may be related to tuning. I only have 1 8 ounce tank through it and need to spend another tank dialing it in.

The Dle 30cc engines need breaking in before you will get real nice steady running at various RPM levels. The fastest way to break them in is called heat cycles. Run it up to temp.using various seed/loads and shut it off. Let it cool and repeat sereral times. You can do this while working on other items around your house/yard/nest ! Capt,n
