Dick Bennett
I am very surprised that nobody has posted the passing of Dick Bennett of B&B Specialties. He died last Friday as a result of injuries while riding his motorcycle. His contributions to RC gassers and the hobby in general are great. Below is some text from Chris Bergen of Bergen helicopters that was posted in another forum.
>>>>Dick passed away at 4:20 PM Yesterday at the age of 69, with Virg, his son Jeff, and daughter Jennifer in attendance.
Dick is with his Father Cliff, flying large scale models to their souls content, making perfect takeoffs and landings, no more broken props or bent cranks, Round loops and axial rolls are the norm instead of the exception.
I will miss our visits, our small dealings helping each other with our businesses.

Yes Karol, I also saw the info in a number of forums but was extremely surprised there was no word here in the engine forum. Here is a link to the thread in the Giant Scale forum.

RE: Dick Bennett
Truly a great loss to our hobby.
Dick was often seen at local events and a regular at the Toledo Weak Signals RC show.
Several in my club often used his services, one of which was straightening cranks.
Obituary is here...

Memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship that will be set up by the family.
Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.

Be sure to post such at the link provided in Post #6 above,
where the family will certainly see your thoughts.
Might be a while before -or- if they see anything here in the
various online forums.
