Default Any one running the BME .90??

I'm going to pick one of these up and install it in a Sig 1/5th scale Cub. Just checking to see if there is any info on the motor. Thanks.

Lots of people using them. It's a very good little engine.

Ken Lambert does the same conversion also.

Thanks. Tom is going to put me one together. Hopefully I'll have it in the next few weeks.

Why not go with the JBA 15cc for half the price? Lots of people seem to like them as well.

I have to say, I am a BME fan. I've ran several of there engines over the years starting out with the 102. I still have a 58, 105, and 110 that have been excellent engines and I realy like how Tom treats people. Can't wait to get the .90. I've got a MA 13X6 that I'll try first. I think that will be a good prop for the Cub.

One thing people don't know about BME. Tom, the owner, IS an engine man. Big time involvement with building auto racing engines. He's innovative, creative, and exacting. Some very good reasons to base purchase decisions on. You won't find any of those attributes with any of the Chinese RC engine manufacturers. I'll say that again, any.

I am running a BME 0.90 on a Mojo, previoulsy it has been on a small Waco Bipe and a Cub. Try the 13" prop first by all means but you will most likely prefer the 14" for your cub.

THE BME 0.90 IS A GREAT LITLE ENGINE.

I have also run the Chinese 15cc's (RCGF 15 and JBA 15 as well as the NGH 17) and they are not a patch on the BME, not even close when it comes to real life performance. Don't be fooled by the "Spins xxx prop at yyy rpm" claims on how the others are sold.
Have a read through the threads on the others and you will see why NOT to buy anything from those "designers" People have a lot of issues with them in the range where they actually get flown.

They also tune easily and run well in the mid range (consistently and for quite a long lifespan). Maybe you could learn something about that Michael

yes, thank you for your advice, but I face and know the distance, it is easy to say but really difficult to do. although Super-tiger product line is in China, but all of these machines were from Italy.

What prop you running on yours? I have a Mojo 60 and I'm running a ST .90 on 0%, spinning an APC 15x4 wide blade. I tried a 14x4 wide and it didn't like it, so I threw the 15 on there thinking it wouldn't work out so good. I was wrong, works excellent. I have a CH ignition kit that I bought to use with this engine, hence the 0%. Still have to set it up.

I'm running the APC 15/4W on the Mojo. It is about perfect for it. I used a 14/6 but found the same thing as you, the 15 is a much better "MoJo prop".
When the Engine was on the Cub, I also tried a 15/6 APC it worked fine for a Cub in scale flight but the takeoff rolls were a bit longer than ideal. the 14/6 was about perfect for general sport flying.
