Default Installing a pressure tap on a 3W75

I am installing a B&B smoke system on my 27% extra. The 3W75 gas engine does not have a pressure tap on the crankcase. Has anyone added a pressure tap to run a smoke pump? If so any info on the install would be appreciated. There does not appear to be a prepared spot on the housing to drill and tap like on a glow engine. Is there a preferable spot to put the tap on a gas engine, would center on the back plate work?

The easiest way is to use a pump system such as Simple smoke. No pressure tap needed. Dennis
