For those that have magneto ign and want a tacho to see how much the engine unloads in the air or just want to see the max rpm in the air just get a tacho used in boats for reading max rpm. Photos show one I use in my boats, don't know if thay would work on shielded HT cables as they pick up of the HT lead.
