gentlemen,
I recently received a 1/3 scale cub with an unmounted engine that supposedly came out of it. The engine is marked as a Quadra 42 and has a large Quadra fly wheel on it. The casing is a 2 piece casing split front to back with a large cup type motor mount and has a Bennet muffler. There is a large nipple between the casing and the muffler and I have no idea what I am supposed to hook to it. I am guessing that the spade connector on the the magneto would wire to an on off switch and the other side of the switch back to the engine as a ground ??? Is there anything that I need to look for or things to check before I mount this back on the plane. It has a 22 8 prop mounted on it and seems to have really good compression. The muffle has 2 small nipples on it which I am guessing might have went to an old smoke system. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

My Feedback: (16)
The Quadra 42 used a 18 X 10 prop.
The Quadra 50 used a 22 X 8 prop or it could have a 20 X 10.
The Quadra 42 has the cylinder and the top half of the crankcase as one piece. The bottom half of the crankcase is just a cap. The muffler is on the rear.
The quadra 50 has a separate cylinder and a crankcase that is split and there is a front part and a rear part of the crankcase. The muffler is on the side.

Q-50 with the cylider turned around.

This one doesn't have a Bennett muffler

This 42 has a Bennett muffler but RCEXL ignition
