Hey guys, what's a good (cheap) source for engine mounting standoffs? I need a set of four, 2" or 50mm long, preferably for a 10-32 thread. I've got some 1" aluminum bar stock I could make them out of, but I'm lazy plus I hate wasting 1" bar stock just to make standoffs!
Anybody?
Thanks!

BTW, I've also used 5/16" diameters to further reduce weight on smaller 30cc engines. There is hardly a cost difference tho

Just checked Mcmaster Carr. Great prices on those standoffs! Much better than the 20 dollars and up for a set I was finding through the online hobby shops!! For some reason I never even thought of good old McMaster Carr.....
Thanks again,

And please don't keep it a secret. Let others know.....McMaster Carr has all sorts of stuff we use in gasoline apps....Ultra Copper sealant from Permatex comes immediately to mind; makes great exhaust gaskets and holds secure

Hardened bolts for prop hubs, sealing washers for cowls and anywhere vibration is an issue, and all priced by the 50 or 100 what we are used to paying for 4 or 5 of the damn things.
I think they even have the 2.6x8mm hitec metal gear servo arm screws with hex heads.
The list goes on and on

Just happened to think, there is something I can add to help you guys. www.aircraftspruce.com Their 1/8" "primer" line works great for our fuel lines. It is a bit too stiff for a clunk line inside a tank, but it is bulletproof and long lasting for all other gas engine plumbing, and is cheap to buy. They also sell the aluminum bar stock that I use for making prop hubs for a LOT less than McMaster Carr.
Hope that helps someone,
