Question DLA 32 ignition question

Hi
*I have just bought a DLA 32 engine.
I only flown glow engine for years, and*I am new to the gas engine.*

Anyway, I connected 6.6v LiFe battery to the ignition system and connected the engine sensor plug and spark plug.

When I spin the shaft, I don't see any spark from the spark plug. I tried another spark plug(c6) and also gave stable ground to the plug. *

Am I missing something here ?

Thanks.
Jake

Depending on the year of the Ign. The older ign took a max of 4.8 volts any more than that as a rule rendered the ign useless.
Read your instructions that came with the engine to determine what the correct voltage is for your Ign.

It is the lastest one, version 3.
it says Adaptable voltage:* 6.6v-8.2v
So, the way I tested is correct ? and I should see a spark ?

ignition box says 7.2~8.4V (2s lipo) for the operating voltage.
So I will try 2S lipo. Does any DLA owner use 2s lipo ?

I have this DLA ignition and LiFe 2S 6.6V.
Can please tell me how to connect these wires ?
I connected top wire(futaba male) to the haul sensor.
Then connected red plug to the battery.
I didn't connect the middle one.
Then, I turned the craftshaft and I don't see any spark at the spark plug.
Can please any one help ?
Thanks

Jake

Access the sensor leads from the ignition and with ignition on, short the white wire to the black wire momentarily. Should get a spark. If not generally the ignition unit is defective, assuming good battery supply. If you get a spark, hall sensor is defective, or sensor to magnet gap is too great. Good luck, red

Some ignitions require a minimum RPM to spark. A good healthy flip is required versus just passing the sensor over the magnet
