Default OS GT15 to Glow question

I have the original OS GT15 gas engine that uses a CM-6 spark plug. Is it possible to convert it to the new Glow Plug version with some type of adapter Just wondering if it is possible because that would mean I would not need the Ignition and battery for the ignition and longer.

I guess the best thing for you is to get an adapter and try it. I have one engine(NGH 26) that runs very well on it. My DLE 30 runs OK but it will idle reliably at 3000 rpm only
You can get an adapter from Valley View

I will get the adapter and try it on the OS GT15 but I have a question? You said it works real well on an NGH26 you have. I have a NGH GT25 that uses the 1/4x32 ignition. Will the gas 1/4x32 glow plug work on it as well. I think the NGH26 and NGH GT26 are the same engine. I will be ordering a couple of these gas glow plugs from tower to give them a try. Does the gas/oil mixture stay the same with the Gas Glow?

I assume from your answer all I need to do is get an OS G5 glow plug and install it on my NGH 25gt and go fly.

Well.I would run a tank or so on the ground and check the operation and the idle first.

I am still running three engines on Gas Glo.They all run OK and my DLE 30 will Idle fine at about 2500.It had dead sticked a couple of times but was not idle.I put it back on spark today and I like this better.I do have to use starter on GG for the first start of the day, then will hand start OK.Have a friend that is flying the evolution 15 on GG.I have a few OS 5 glo plugs and 10MM 1/4x32 adapters for sale.Heck I am a spark guy but had to try the GG. Frankly it run better then I expected.

I tried GG plug on my DLE30 but I can't get it to Idle less than 3000 unless I keep the battery on the GG plug. I then made up a system to be able to switch on a battery at low speed while in flight. But then it occurred to me that I had a much stuff to carry as I would have if I used ignition,so I am going back to ignition. It idles better.
The GG plug is for smaller engines.
