Default Zenoah G45 Conversion to Electronic Ignition

The Toni Clark website has an informative description of how to convert their version of the Zenoah G62 to an electronic ignition.

I assume that this applies to the standard G45 engine as well. Has anyone performed this conversion? There are a couple of tools described that look like they can be easily duplicated. Where does the timing wind up after this conversion? I'm running my Brisons at 28 degrees BTC. Thanks, Dan.

Dan, there are a number of companies who supply ignition kits for the Zenoah engines. Have you looked at the ones supplied by RC Extreme Power. In many cases, the sensor is mounted in a fixed position that usually produces a timing in the normal range. If adjustable, set to the same 28 degrees you are use to with the Brison and most engines.

Ralph Cunningham converted my G45 to CDI and as I recall he set the timing to 28 deg.

Thanks Karol. I'll stick with that. Dan.
