Os gf40 4 stroke vs/ dle 35
I have a DLE-35RA on a Phoenix 78" Extra 260 which weighs 14.5 lb with 8oz up front to get it to balance, unlimited vertical.
Considering an OS GF40 4 stroke on a similar size aerobatic plane.
My DLE-35RA turns a ZOAR 19-3Da at 7650 rpm"s
an APC 19x8W at 7650 rpm"s
What rpm's are you getting out of the OS GF40 with what props?
Don't mind the $ if it works the way I want, good reliable power.
Been out of the hobby for about 10 years, got about 20 flights this year so far, good to be back.
Thanks

It does look like a very nice engine, a friend of mine ran some props yesterday on his, these were results.
19x8 Biela = 7520
19x10 wood = 6630
18x10 wood = 7650
20x8 wood = 6540
20x10 wood 3D = 6600
hope this helps. 👍

Helps a lot, just got my OS GF40 today from Tower Hobbies, see if I like it, expensive if I don't.
Not sure about the DLE35 I got earlier this year yet, I'll give it some more time before I give it rating, power on the DLE35 if very good, 7750 on a APC 19 x 8W, 15lb plane easy unlimited vertical.
