Default Identifying unknown engine

Hello all

I was recently able to obtrain an unusual engine almost for free. It seems to be a piece of art, however I am unable to determine what kind of engine it is. There are some markers implying a manufacturer, but that name has never made any RC engines.

I need to make 2 more posts to add some images, so I am going to add two more posts...

Mac Minarelli engine from Italy. These were sold by Tower Hobbies for awhile but I don't know anything about them. I've never seen one in person. I do remember seeing the name in carting and motorcycle magazines many years ago.

Haha, oh my god, the M also belongs to upper part of the name . I have been searching over and over for "ac minarelli"... That explains why I have not been finding anything.

Looks like related to the Tartan Twin, originally sold in USA by World Engines.

Look up Tartan Twin engine.

Derived from an Italian powerplant for portable power tools. Also, as a single cylinder version .

Supplied in glow and ignition versions for methanol fuel.

Used both Super Tigre carbs and Dellorto pumper carbs depending on version.
