hey snafu
been useing a 24x8 on mine like the way it responds.
I've noticed mine acts the way you're describing if I had it to lean.
thinking of getting a 29%a/w edge, does your 3.7 fit in the cowl,
or did you cut some relief?

What prop are you using I have the menz ultra on mine. The engine deffinetly does not fit the cowl. I made a custom one took three days but looks pretty good. I also had to shoten the cowl to keep from adding alot of weight to the tail. I have been flying it for a year now use good glue. All around the engine box and frame I used an epoxy glue that mix's two parts into one by way of a mixing nozzel. I use to fly turbines and this stuff won't come apart. I can tell you were to buy it if you want Bob Violet sells it under aeropoxy. Grainger sells it for less. I will richen the low end and let you know.
