Is it possible too have to lite of a prop.
I have a YS 120 with a Bolly 16.5 X 8 prop and it would just die in the middle of a flight with no warning.
After this happen a few times I went back to my trusty 16 X 8 APC and flew the rest of the day without an incident.
The only thing I could think of is that the Bolly is a lot lighter than the APC and that it was to lite to keep the motor running.
Is this possible and if it is can someone give me Bolly's phone number?
Thanks

Mid flight meaning? Full throttle running or?
It's not likely the Bolly prop is to light, more likely it loads the engine less than the APC and is revving higher and unloading in flight causing the YS Engine to go lean and abruptly stop running...
How do you tune your YS Engine?

This is in an CG Ultimate so I rarely have it at full throttle it's usually at about half. As for tuning the engine, I burn 20/20 fuel so at around 2 - 2 1/4 turns you get a pretty good smoke stream from the exhaust and the transition is good. Then I hold up the plane at full throttle to check if it's lean and off she goes. I will also check the RPM they are usally around 9200. As for low end I never touch it.
Thanks for you input.

May be you should touch your low end adjustment, as this makes a difference in mid range where you say you do a lot of your flying. Both high, & low needles should be adjusted for best running of a engine.
