Default Carb setting for Quadra 35

Does Anyone know the carb settings for a Quadra 35? I have the motor running but it's running verry rich & won't idle good. New plug, points & coil installed. Need a good starting place for the carb & also this is my frist gas motor.

Thanks for any help.

If it's in good shape, good seals, no leaks around the carb, they usually end at one turn on the high speed and one and a half on the low speed. Thats on an 18- 8 prop.
Start off a quarter of a turn richer and work down to that. If the low speed is to lean,it will hesitate when you open the throttle quickly. Do all these adjustments after the engine is well warmed up.

On two of mine, the settings are about 1 1/4 turn open on both but every carb can vary a bit. flypaper's advice should work well.
