Default Kill Switch Type?

I have a new DA150 and have a question about the kill switch needs. I already have a ElectroDynamics Fiber Optic Kill Switch that I will be using, but I also need a standard kill switch at the engine. My previous gas experience has been with the larger Zenoahs and I have always used their kill switches. This time I'm wanting to try something different.

I would like to use a HD Futaba switch (like I use on the Rx Batts) for aesthetics and because I want a switch mount with the charge jack organized together. This would make for a clean installation. Can I use this HD Rx style of switch on the ignition?

Ever thought of using a choke servo as a kill switch. Kill two birds with one stone, you don't have to worry about the manual setup and you can kill the engine at any time with the choke.

Just a thought

Yes you can.
The switch will simply plug in between the ignition battery and the ignition module. The lead that goes from the switch to the ignition module will have to be cut and then solder in the connector that comes with the engine.

Every gaser should have a kill switch on the side of the fusealage.
The choke servo is a great back up only.

Count me in with Stomper. Choke is a great backup, but if the needles arent set right, its not an immediate kill.

You plug any standard radio switch into the EDR kill setup, there is a diagram that shows you where and how that comes with it. If you dont have the documentation, I'm sure you can get it on the Electrodynamics website. If that doesnt work, give me a buzz here, and I'll make a copy of mine for you.

I ordered the EDR1070 the other day. I told Andy at EDR that I wanted to add a manual kill switch and can I use the diagram on his site. He said I don't need a manual switch with this unit(I already know that, but want to install one anyway). He wouldn't give anymore info. on connecting the manual into the circuit. Can I connect my manual switch between my 1200MAH battery and the EDR 1071?This is what is shown in their web site.
